Biography:
Leslie T. Ridings is a partner in the Firm's Civil Litigation Section. She graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1998. While at the University of Tennessee, Ms. Ridings was a member of the Dean's List, Moot Court Board, and Deans Advisory Council. She was a Class Representative for the Student Bar Association and a Student Advisor. She was a recipient of the 1995 Kingsport Bar Association scholarship and the 1997 Helen A. Snyder Scholarship. Ms. Ridings received Academic Excellence Awards in Legal Profession, Constitutional Law II and Case Development. She also received the Cali Award for Excellence for Case Development. Prior to obtaining her Juris Doctorate, Ms. Ridings worked for ten years in retail store management for major department stores.
Ms. Ridings is a member of the Kingsport Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, American Bar Association, Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association, and the Defense Research Institute. She is a recipient of the Tri-Cities Business Journal 2003 "40 under 40" award and is a Martindale Hubbell BV Distinguished rated attorney.
Ms. Riding's primary practice area is in personal injury and health care litigation. She enjoys an active practice in fraud and arson investigation. Ms. Ridings practices and tries cases in State as well as Federal Court. Ms. Ridings has written articles and given presentations on numerous topics ranging from workers' compensation law updates to presentations on fraud and arson defense and medical malpractice defense.
Personal Information:
Ms. Ridings was born in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Ms. Ridings is an active member of her community. She serves as a board member for the Kingsport Office of Small Business Development (KOSBE). She has also served in other leadership positions including as a board member for Contact Concern and for the Greater Kingsport YMCA. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Kingsport. Ms. Ridings, her husband Richard, and their two children are members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kingsport.
