Suzanne S. Cook is a Partner in Litigation and Family Law, with significant jury trial experience in state and federal courts.  She represents clients in personal injury, premises liability, arson and fraud investigation and defense, insurance coverage, uninsured motorist, other general tort litigation, and in divorce, adoption, custody and support matters.  

Ms. Cook is appointed to The Tennessee Supreme Court Advisory Commission on the Rules of Practice and Procedure, has been President and Vice President of the Washington County Bar Association, and is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association House of Delegates.  She belongs to the Tennessee Bar Association and Virginia State Bar, the Tennessee and Virginia Associations of Defense Counsel, the Federal Bar Association, and the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators.  

Ms. Cook was honored as a member of the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law Class 2008, the Leadership Kingsport Class 2002, the Business Journal of Tri-Cities “Forty Under 40” in 2002, and as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America in 2009.  She has served on many community boards as an officer and volunteer.

Ms. Cook was inducted into The Order of Barristers, competed on The National Trial Team, won the Advocates’ Prize Moot Court Competition (Best Oralist and First Place Team), received The Tennessee Attorney General’s Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, The Dennis E. Parkhill Memorial Achievement Award for Excellence in Moot Court Oral Advocacy, and the American Jurisprudence Award for Trial Practice.

Personal Information:

Ms. Cook was born in Roanoke, Va, and grew up in Knoxville, TN.  She currently lives in Johnson City, TN with her husband and their twin sons and daughter.
