   The Immigration Practice Group at Hunter Smith & Davis is committed to helping employers, employees and families understand their respective roles in the immigration process.  As a part of the Firm's Labor & Employment Practice, the Immigration Practice Group is focused on navigating its clients through the complexities of compliance issues as well as securing a highly skilled and talented workforce among many nationalities in the global marketplace.

   The Immigration Practice Group can help insure employers' compliance with the Form I-9 and the numerous Department of Homeland Security laws and regulations by which all employers must abide during the hiring process, whether or not they have hired foreign workers.  The Immigration Practice Group can also assist in securing non-immigrant visas on behalf of companies and institutions that utilize the specialized skills of valuable employees from overseas.  This specifically includes, but is not limited to, preparation of petitions for H-1B, TN and L-1 visas.  Our attorneys can assist our clients with the permanent residency or "green card" process as well.
