Alternative Dispute

Especially in recent years, courts and clients have embraced various forms of alternative dispute resolution, including MEDIATION and binding ARBITRATION, as less confrontational, more cost-effective methods for resolving disputes. Hunter, Smith and Davis, LLP, from its inception, has supported the use of these alternatives to litigation. Our litigation attorneys are experienced advocates in mediation and arbitration proceedings, and we have Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Certified Mediators, whose services are available to parties in need of a neutral third-party to mediate their conflicts. These Certified Mediators are experienced in a wide variety of civil matters, including commercial, construction, personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice and employment claims.

Suzanne S. Cook complements her litigation practice as Rule 31 Listed General Civil / Family Mediator.
