Sydney Gilbert focuses her practice on the defense of health care liability claims. She represents hospitals, physicians, nursing homes and other medical providers in a range of medical malpractice cases, as well as licensing matters.

Ms. Gilbert began her legal career serving as the administrative law clerk for Judge Robert Montgomery, Jr., who presides on the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals.

While in law school, Ms. Gilbert served on the Moot Court Board and was a member of the American Association of Justice Mock Trial Team. She was awarded the Dana Collier Memorial Scholarship. She worked as a summer law clerk in the chambers of the Honorable Virginia Supreme Court Justice McClanahan, and in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Virginia.
