Biography

Ms. Walker joined Hunter, Smith & Davis in 2015 after graduating from law school. She practices in the firm's transactional group, which focuses on real estate, corporate, and banking law, and within the last two years, has helped develop a succesful real estate - litigation practice. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Walker donated her time and service to several local organizations. She chaired a $25 million campaign to build Niswonger Children's Hospital, a unit of Ballad Health, culminating in the opening of the facility in 2009, and served as past chairman of the following Boards: Washington County Animal Shelter Foundation Board, Children's Advocacy Center Board, Washington County American Red Cross Board, and the Northeast Tennessee Community Health Centers Board of Directors.

While living in Memphis during law school, she served in neighborhood preservation efforts and worked on anti-blight matters for the City of Memphis handled in the Environmental Court.

Among other community involvement, Ms. Walker was elected to the Johnson City Board of Education serving two terms, and the Johnson City Commission, Johnson City Board of Zoning Adjustments. She currently serves as the board chairman of Hands On! Discovery Center and as a board member on the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Marcy has been admitted to practice law in Tennessee, North Carolina and Tennessee Supreme Court.
