Ms. Walker recently graduated from University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. While in Memphis, Ms. Walker served in neighborhood preservation efforts and worked in the Environmental Court representing the City of Memphis’ anti-blight initiatives.
Ms. Walker recently returned to Johnson City where she lived for more than 20 years. Her involvement in Johnson City included serving on the Board of Education (1999-2007); Johnson City Commission (2007 – 2011) and Johnson City Planning Commission (2007-2011) as well as involvement on many boards serving the Tri-Cities. Ms. Walker also had the unique experience of raising $25 million to build Niswonger Children’s Hospital culminating in the opening of the facility in 2009. Ms. Walker is also a former member of the Tennessee Supreme Court’s Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization.
